David Alexander from SAMEX, acknowledges "WOMEX is a cutting edge conference which keeps musicians, record labels, and entertainment businesses up-to-date on the latest industry developments. SAMEX encourages young economically empowered music companies from South Africa to enter the international market and participate at WOMEX to present themselves to professionals both from Africa and all over the world, to ensure their local sustainability and success."
The African Music Export Office BEMA based in Dakar (Senegal) will be be exhibiting at WOMEX, as will be Umané Culture (Burkina Faso), Afrik'Aktion (Gabon) and Busara Promotions (Tanzania) - all part of the ACP Music Festivals Network.

If you want your contact details to be included in the WOMEX Guide and take advantage of the competitive Guide Rate, Friday, 3 September is your deadline, for both registration and payment!
Anyone registering after this date will pay the higher Late Rate. All late entries will appear in the "Who is Coming?" feature online and in virtualWOMEX only.

And to complement this will be the special Nordic nights on Thursday, Friday and Saturday inviting the delegates to discover the music of WOMEX's current home region. The Nordic Club will be featuring local pearls from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland.

Eric van Nieuwland) WOMEX will be offering Matchmaking Sessions for publishers attending the 2010 edition. This new service aims to promote networking opportunities at WOMEX and connect interested business partners from around the world - free of charge.
WOMEX Matchmaking will orientate itself towards music publishers who want to offer their services as a sub-publisher and/or are looking for a sub- publisher in other areas of the world. WOMEX provides a perfect platform to host this new feature due to its high proportion of international delegates. Last year at WOMEX 09, there were over 200 music publishers alone, representing around 50 different countries.
